Port Reconstruction

Government has signed a Loan Agreement with the Asian Development Bank to fund the reconstruction of Avatiu Harbour. Work is expected to commence in mid 2010 and be completed in late 2012.

When completed the harbour will be able top cater to vessels 250 metres in length and with a 7.5 metre draft.
