The Port of Avatiu is the principal port of the Cook Islands. Its features are:

The newly redeveloped Avatiu harbour was opened in April 2013, and Avatiu harbour now provides a greater capacity to cater for larger vessels and the deeper harbour entrance and turning circle allows for larger vessels to berth in the harbour. The port handles about 90% of food imports and 100% of the country’s fuel supply

Arutanga Port, Aitutaki

Arutanga Harbour is the only mainstream operation port that serves Aitutaki internationally

A concept proposal for the Port of Aitutaki involving the enlargement and deepening of the Aitutaki main entrance channel to accommodate local inter Island ships and visiting yachts, and deepening the area in front of the existing fishing club for use as a marina, is to be undertaken as a long term project.

Arorangi Jetty

Arorangi Jetty was opened in November 02 2012 and its purpose was to server as an alternative safe port for landing of cruise 
ship passengers, at the Arorangi School site during adverse weather conditions at Avatiu
